FAMILY BACKGROUND Born in Surrey, England 1943. One brother Peter born 1947. Childhood spent largely in Sussex, England. Moved to Hampshire, England in the mid 1960s. Daughter Jade born 1973. Married Sheila in 1982 (picture opposite). |
EDUCATION Educated at Eastbourne Grammar School and various Further Education part-time science courses. Graduated as Bachelor of Education in Physical Science with Honours from University of Southampton 1971. EMPLOYMENT Early 1960s Pharmaceutical Apprentice with retail chemist. Mid 1960s Technical Assistant with multinational electronics company. 8 weeks working at the Roundhouse in London (major arts & music centre) during height of the Psychedelic Era. 1971 to 2003 Teacher of Physics, for 4 years at Secondary level, then at Sixth Form level (16-18 year-olds). Since 1992, a micropublisher. Since 2003, a freelance writer and record producer.
